Nutrition

Using a combination of good nutrition and exercise, you can maintain or achieve your maximum health results and benefits.  Instead of timely research invested in learning new fad diets, the best time investment you can make in nutrition is getting back to the basics of the food guide pyramid concepts, using common sense, and exercising portion control.

Unfortunately, too many people begin an exercise program, but then neglect to stay concerned with good nutrition.  Note that weight maintenance or loss hinge on one fundamental concept:  calories in (consumed), must equal calories out (expended), to maintain weight.  A deficit will result in loss, and an excess results in gain.  Do not cancel out your hard work in the gym, by being hap-hazard with your diet.

A good diet can be SIMPLE!  Educate yourself on the concepts of portion control and good food choices.  Make little changes, one at a time, that are reasonable for you.  It is not necessary, nor is it likely to become a lifestyle change, when you take on an overhaul of your diet.  Everything adds up!
